So… to those wondering what’s become of me, I just welcomed a new member in my little family a few days ago. A little girl was recently born, so I’ve had to make some room for quality time at home. The miracle of life is hard to describe, I wish you all love, patience and caring during these holidays! Gotta love those Yaktrax when carrying the girls around. Drive & walk safely!

Well, better late than never, as they say… I had been postponing the upgrade of WordPress for a few weeks now and I took the opportunity to install a fresh theme that I’ll be customizing in the next few days (particularly that huge right column!). This is part of some major changes to my main site, too so stay tuned

Hier soir vers 17h00 je quittais les bureaux d’un client lorsqu’il m’a rejoint sur mon cellulaire. J’étais rendu à l’arrêt d’autobus! Et il me dit “mon site web ne réponds plus, peux tu revenir au bureau ?”. J’avais déjà avisé quelques clients et amis utilisant le même service qu’il y avait des problèmes et que je vérifierais les causes possibles. Profil d’une entreprise d’hébergement web qui sait faire les choses.

Je vais bientôt changer ma version de WordPress (update: c’est fait!), étant donné que la 1.5 est maintenant disponible. Je vais d’ailleurs en profiter pour passer tout mon site sur une section sécurisée par un certificat SSL. (more…)

Il y a quelques mois je publiais mon Guide pour chiffrer son courriel avec Thunderbird et Enigmail. Thunderbird est le logiciel de courrier électronique de la Fondation Mozilla que je suggère pour remplacer Outlook ou Outlook Express. Enigmail est une extension permettant d’intégrer les fonctions de chiffrement, signature numérique et gestion d’identité numérique à Thunderbird, en utilisant la norme OpenPGP. This will probably break a few things out there, but I am changing the category name for Free/Libre Open Source Software to simply “Libre” which means Free in both french and spanish. I’m doing this because I find myself wanting to write a lot more about other “libre” stuff like open standards and formats, copyright and intellectual property, and of course open house parties FLOSS doesn’t seem to be a very friendly acronym either.

I recently added the Mozilla category to this blog and have since started looking around for other Mozilla blogs. Two sites listing most of them (including my Mozilla category feed) are Blogupdates and the MozillaZine feedhouse.
