I felt pretty bad when I spent several hours looking for a way to have an XML or RSS feed for SourceForge projects… and found it in the SF documentation! Not XML, actually, but very basic HTML that can be used to generate such feeds. Meanwhile, I managed to cache and import . (more…)

After seeing a question on linux-quebec mailing list about this, a quick search turned up several entries. It’s intereseting how encryption tools also provide authentication means that can be used now in production environments. (more…)

[Open]PGP provides two functions: encryption and, more importantly, authentication. If you get a message from me with a valid [Open]PGP signature attached, you can be almost entirely certain that the message came from me. The message isn’t encrypted; it just has a very small attachment with it. Anyone can read it; those with [Open]PGP [software] can verify it.
